I tried Chickory coffee this afternoon after I posted as many pictures as I could on Facebook. It's VERY odd. There's a sour taste to it and it actually had the opposite effect on me than any other coffee. I instantly got sleepy. It was REALLY odd. I ended up being sleeping until dinner time which isn't good. We went to Katy Mills Mall this afternoon with Amanda and her family. Her two daughters wanted to spend their Christmas money and in Gen's case, her Christmas and Birthday money. When we all met up, Amanda told us what Gen had said early this morning. "I'm four and there's a mall" That four year old is very sassy. Anyway, if you've ever been to Potomac Mills then it's the same as Katy Mills. The layout is different. In Katy Mills, we started at the Bass Pro shop and ended up; back in the Bass Pro shop without having to double back to the same stores. So, the layout was kinda just a huge circle. After Katy Mills, Sir, his dad, Janice and I went to Cici's for dinner; which was nice. The three of them discussed the best James Bond through the whole dinner and I just sat there and zoned out. I don't care much for James Bond, I'll watch it but that's pretty much it. Once we were home, Sir, his dad and I played Monopoly. It was interesting playing Monopoly with Mr. Adams. Sir says all that time that he cheats and well, it's true. I noticed the few times that he cheated. During the beginning, when he had was short on money, he'd mortgage a property that had a house on it. He'd get the value of the mortgage but still keep the house on the property. Then near the end, when he had to pay a fee from a chance or community chest, he paid part of the fee and had gotten change out of the Free Parking pile. I wanted to see if he would win the game by cheating, so I let it slide. I ended up with the expensive dark blue properties, all the light blue properties, New York Avenue, all the railroads, and the companies. I had a skyscraper on each of properties I could put a skyscraper up. Every time I got a bus ticket I would ticket to Go so I could get $400 or to jail so I could just sit there and collect money. When Mr. Adams got out to me, Sir just said to call it a win when it was just between me and him. I took it cause there could've still been a way for him to win and for me to lose.
After we had played Monopoly, his parents went to bed but Sir and I were still awake. We watched a couple of episodes of Venture Bros before I went to bed. He started to finish a game but he ended up going to bed at 4 in the morning. Ugh!! I woke him up at 9 so we could go to San Antonio to see the Alamo. The drive to the Alamo was a long one and it not what I expected. I thought it would be bigger and more exciting but it was small and boring. There was a line to get it the main building of the Alamo so he and I just skipped it and looked at the other places. We were going to go on the Riverwalk but I decided against it, it was a long drive back and frankly, I had just spent $100 or so dollars for souvenirs for my brother and my father. There wasn't anything that I wanted to give mom that she would use. The Riverwalk sounded like it was a place where I would spend loads of money. We left San Antonio and went to his mom's house to go visit the cats. He wasn't exaggerating when he said that the tree in the front yard covers the whole entire yard and that his mom is a cat lady. There were at least 8 cats living in that house. It had been a while since I've been near cats so, my eyes were getting bothered by the amount of cat hair that was everywhere and getting on my clothes. Sir and I ordered Chinese for dinner and went to bed pretty early.
Sleeping was an issue. Cats were everywhere and it was getting hot. I kept on waking up and trying to move only to be stopped by some cat and its claws. Ugh! It wasn't fun at all until some of the cats decided that sleeping on the bed was not an option. Eventually, I got some sleep and I apparently kicked Sir off the bed. When we woke up, we went to Galveston to Moody Gardens. That place is EXPENSIVE!! It costs $20 per person per pyramid. So, it costs me and Sir $80 just to go to the Rainforest pyramid and the Aquarium pyramid and there were still a whole lot more to go to. After Moody Gardens, we went home to his parent's house in Katy.
Today is a pretty chill day. Nothing is really happening. Sir and I made the Oreo treats and Janice is getting ready for Christmas dinner with the whole family for either tomorrow or the day after. I'll be home soon enough. :)
