About Me

I am who and I and no one else in this world can be me. I have walls up for a reason. The question is: Do you have what it takes to break them down?

Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and the Day After

Christmas Eve was a very long day and well Christmas day was a long day too. I didn't get any decent amount of sleep and I kept true to the pattern, I woke up early again, 6 am. I think that I must have been the first one up, I didn't hear Sir's parents moving around. Everyone got up around 10 and we all ate breakfast around the kitchen. Sir, his dad, and I had cereal and Janice had a breakfast bar. I found out that Janice has a HUGE collection of cutlery. She collects A LOT of them! She showed me the drawers in the entrance way, they were full of different styles of cutlery. It was scary! I don't think having that much is necessary but then again, my family isn't huge. Well, the family that I have in the close proximity isn't huge. Anyway, we sat around talking for a bit cause that's what they all do. They sit and talk. Of course, I sat in to be polite and sociable, but honestly, I was really starting to get bored and fall asleep. Mr. Adams decided that we should do something and that meant that we would go to Walmart. We ate lunch first which consisted of cheese crackers, peas, carrots, and turkey. That was definitely NOT a filling lunch. I was already starving early in the morning and breakfast was not filling me up. Apparently, neither was lunch.

So, we went to Walmart and it was a different Walmart that we were going to. Sir needed to get "his" present for Genevieve and technically, this IS his present for her. He bought it with his own money. His parents also got some groceries. Somehow, I also ended up getting Oreos for Oreo treats. I'm not into making them right now and well, I'm gonna have to make them. When we get back from Walmart, I'm told that I would need to pack for the night as well as clothes for the next day. I was staying in the parish house in Weimer with Grann while Sir stayed with Janice and Mr. Adams in Schulemburg. I packed the clothes that I needed for the Christmas Eve service as well as the clothes for Christmas Day service and pajamas to sleep in. The trip to Schulemburg was a long one and I sort of napped along the way but I ended up doing the whole head nod thing. The nap didn't really count. When we got to Schulemburg, we all found out that each of us forgot something. Mr. Adams forgot his keys. Sir forgot his shoes. I forgot my skirt. Janice and Grann also forgot something but I don't know what. So, I changed into my Christmas Eve outfit and it ended up raining. Rain in the cold isn't fun and it's not any more fun when it's blowing in the wind. We had Christmas Eve service in Weimer and then we went to Schulemburg. I found out that Mr. Adams and the music director was setting up Sir and the music director's daughter up. At the time Sir was single and so was she; the two of them never met before. They met this year and I don't know how to take it. She is so beautiful. I get the feeling that she doesn't like me for some odd reason or another. After the service in Schulemburg, we changed the colors of the banners and then headed to Weimer where we were going to have dinner. Dinner consisted of sandwiches and potato soup. I've never had potato soup before. I don't know if I really like it. It's mashed potatoes only with more liquid. It was weird by itself but once I added bacon to it and just ate it with a bite of my sandwich it was okay. After dinner, Sir, Mr. Adams and Janice when back to Schulemburg to sleep and Grann and I stayed in Weimer.

I didn't really get any sleep that night. There was a train that kept on passing by every hour and according to Grann, they are suppose to blow their horn every time they pass through a town. Breakfast was uneventful, all we had were muffins and the family talked and reminisced for a while. Then we went to Christmas service in Weimer and then to Schulemburg. Mr. Adams' sermons were short, something that I'm not really used to. After both services, Grann treated us all to lunch and the only place we could find open and not crowed was the 59 Diner. The diner serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Since I was STARVING, I got a very filling omelet and  it totally filled me up. Lunch for all five of us was around 50 dollars. After lunch, we dropped Grann off back to her house and then Sir and I started to get ready for Christmas with his cousins on his mom's side of the family.

Christmas with the cousins was totally different than being with his dad's side of the family. I met a good bunch of his cousins and their kids. I ended up being the youngest adult in the whole group. Christmas dinner was AMAZING!! They had turkey, ham, stuffing, chips and queso, green bean casserole and a whole bunch of other stuff. The turkey was done PERFECTLY! The kids opened up presents and then the adults opened presents. I ended up getting a present which was nice. Then, they all did the white elephant game which was fun. I ended up with a memory foam pillow and a neck massage pillow, which I gave away.

After Christmas with the cousins, Sir and I hung out over at one of the other cousins' house and watched a movie with them in 3D on a 3D TV! Sir now definitely wants a 3D tv. Oh dear. Sir and I got back from the cousins at 3 in the morning and I didn't really get to sleep till 5, only to wake up at 11. I took a shower and woke Sir up at noon and I ate a bowl of cereal. Sir hasn't eaten anything  and he was upset that his dad and Janice weren't home when he woke up. Now, they're home and talking some more in the kitchen while I'm uploading pics and writing this blog. How I feel about all this is totally a different story.
