About Me

My photo
I am who and I and no one else in this world can be me. I have walls up for a reason. The question is: Do you have what it takes to break them down?

Untitled - unfinished

She was browsing through her library, looking for a familiar book to read. When she had stumbled across an old battered notebook. Curious, she took it out from its perch and began to leaf through it. A small smile formed as memories rushed through her head. Taking the book with her, she went into a small alcove and pushed against the wall into a room that she once called her sanctuary.

The room was still the same except dustier. She smiled again and closed her eyes. She focused on her energy and pulled at the different areas until she found what she was looking for: her magic. She gently coaxed it out of its comatose state and brought it to the surface. Her hands automatically dropped the book as they rose to form a ball of magic. She opened her eyes and instantly they changed color, from its usual dark brown to its pitch black and midnight blue hue. She released the energy and the room was suddenly aired out and dust free. The book she had dropped levitated upwards. She looked at it with adoration before she sent it back to the shelf where it had resided.

She looked around her sanctuary and suddenly remembered why she left in the first place. The subtle hints of masculinity and the memories that seem to bombard her mind as she looked around. Turning back around, she left it alone once more. Quickly, she walked away from the library and headed straight to the gardens.

"Mother!" a voice called. She stopped and turned around to see her eldest son walking through the doorway. His demeanor changed once she saw her eyes. "You're dong magic again?"

"I found the notebook and the sanctuary again." She said as she closed her eyes and forced her magic back to its comatose state. She opened her eyes and they turned to their usual dark brown once more.

He walked towards her and gathered her in an embrace. She relaxed into her son's arms as she felt the comfort and the love that he always had for her. "You need to be careful Mother. Rowan, Jade and I aren't here as often as we used to be. The others aren't as powerful as us and well the youngings, I don't think even remember."

"Oh, Micah, my darling Micah." she said as she gathered his face in her hands and kissed his forehead. " Where has the time gone?"

He smiled at her, assured that she was going to be okay. He led her to the gardens where she intentionally wanted to go before he had stopped her. The two of the walked arm in arm around the Garden of Roses in complete silence.

"Mother," he started gently. "I had come home today to ask you something."

She looked at him and smiled, signaling for him to continue.

"You see, there's this girl." He continued, as her smile got larger." I really like her a lot and well, I was hoping if I could bring her home during break for you to get to know her better.
