Cold metal brushes against her temple
She stands there as if it was a normal day
Her face void of emotion
His lips cracked and his throat dry
His body shook with fear and anxiety
This wasn't in the plan
She knew that he was nervous
In all honesty she was too
But he didn't need to know that
He doubt that nobody did this before
He wonders about the other shooters
Did they get into this kind of situation?
She smiles as she feels his hesitation
Taking the chance and saying a silent prayer
She talks
"This never happened before, has it?
Nobody dares to defy the killer
Standing up and offers a willing body to die
Making sure of the fate of those around them
Did you every feel that security?
That someone is willing to take your place?"
She turns around and faces him
Deeply looking into his eyes
"That someone out there loves you so much?
That they will give their life so that you could have yours?
Love, such a powerful feeling."
Then, her eyes
Closed.
