I am from palm trees swaying in the wind,
Calming sea air and sunny days that never end.
I am from the sounds of childish laughter
With my Kuya's and my cousins
I am from bottle Coke, Mango shakes
And the favorite Halo-Halo
I am from the land of the Pinoy,
Where the Spaniards, Americans and the Japanese have once landed.
I am from the flag that is red, blue, yellow, and white,
As it holds the three starry islands,
And eight sunny provinces.
I am from seventy-eight and then some dialects
And spoke four till I was six.
I am from the Philippines.
I am from the joys and pains of growing up.
I am from the "You're so mature for you age!!" to "Really?? You're only that old??"
