Second Day

Today was an interesting day for VBS. The older kids were a bit rowdy but that's to be expected and all the younger kids were awesome as always. The cute little Kindergarteners actually learned the song today and did all the motions. They LOVE to just dance around and by dance around, I mean, run around the room in circles. The first and second graders wore me out though. They learned the song quickly and then wanted to sing another one. They wanted to do the theme song. So, we did the theme song and I was wiped out for the next class.


Worship Rally in the afternoon was also interesting. I had the 3rd and 4th graders help me for both of the songs and they did awesome. Jerry didn't go in order for the rally, so there was some lag time. He's the one that made the order, so he should freaking now it. I think another thing that we need to work is the communication between sound and the stage. There should be some cues but some things just aren't going to work out. I tend to wing things but still be within the structure. Jerry wants straight up structure.


After we did the majority of the Worship Rally, the group picture was taken today. The photographer wanted more light for the picture so I turned on both of the spot lights that were on the balcony. Totally forgot that you can't have both spotlights on. So, I blew a fuse. Well, I think that's what I did or similar to what I did. I got it fixed though but I don't know if the system will actually work tomorrow. So, here's hoping for the best. :)
