I'm quite behind on the posts of Texas but there's a good reason for that. The good reason being, I want to keep my relationship with Sir. So, in the effort of keeping the relationship, I don't get to unwind and relieve thoughts and whatnot.
Anyway, let's just start with today and work backwards. Right now, Sir and I are at his mom's house. We just had his birthday dinner with his parents at Texas Land and Cattle Company. That was seriously some good steak. Sir got a Porterhouse and I just got..Uhhh.. well.. I actually don't know the actual cut of beef but I got bacon wrapped scallops to go with it. It was simply amazing! I finished everything on my plate. After that, we went to find a present for Smalls since we found a present for Josh. Sir also got something for himself.
Yesterday, oh jeez.. what did I do yesterday. Yesterday was the first full day without the kids. There wasn't a little boy crying rivers in the corner. There wasn't a little girl wanting me to pick her up all the time. There wasn't a little boy asking questions every second of the day. There wasn't another little girl wanting to be played with. There definitely wasn't a preteen sulking in the corner because her uncle didn't want to play Magic the very second she wanted to play.
Sir and I started the day furniture shopping with his parents. Janice wanted furniture to go in den area on the second floor. She was looking for red leather furniture sets. That's right. Red. Leather. Anyway, after a while we went to Memorial City mall since we didn't really get to go into the mall much the day before. It's a VERY nice mall and very big! I'm really disappointed that there wasn't a fold out map that I could take with me. Sir and I went to every part of the mall. We didn't find a Spencer's and we didn't find a bookstore which, is just odd. Sir got me bright blue Converse. I found presents for my mom and he found a present for Josh. After we were at the mall, we went furniture shopping again only to a different store. Janice found all the furniture that she wanted in this store. She bought at least eight pieces of furniture to go for the upstairs. Furniture shopping took a VERY long time but she made someone's day buying a whole lot.
The day before yesterday was Sunday. Oh Sunday. Sunday was the first day of the year and the last day that we were going to have the rest of the kids around. Sunday started out VERY early. We all stayed in the Katy house and had to travel at least an hour away for the Weimer Church service and for the Shulemburg Church service. Janice, Sir and I were ready long before Tim, Sara and her kids got ready. We were running late because of them. There were only enough room in the van for the three kids, Janice and one more adult. She had decided that Tim was going to drive his gas guzzling jeep that way Sir could save money and not spend any more on gas. When Sara got out to the garage she thought she was going with Tim leaving me and Sir to go in the van with HER kids. She got so upset when she had to go in the van with her kids. My thoughts on that is another story.
Anyway, the kids were better than I thought they would be. When the started to act up, Sir, Janice and I were able to quite them down. Sara just cuddled up with Tim the whole entire time leaving the rest of us to take care of her kids. After the last service, we all drove back to Katy for lunch and to get the kids ready to go back to their dad's house. When they knew that it was time to go, all hell kinda broke lose. They all started crying and whining and trying to stall so that they would've have to go. Tim and Sara were late in bringing the kids back. Sir decided to be a super awesome Uncle and loaded them all up on candy. They couldn't have been happier to finally get a lot of candy.
Janice, Mr. Adams, Grann, Sir and I met Sara and Tim at Memorial City mall so we could meet somewhere for dinner. We all met up at Macy's and shopped around for a bit before we headed to dinner. I forget what the place was called but it was a Tex-Mex kinda of restaurant. The food was super awesome. I'm kinda sad that I really didn't get to finish all my food, but I was just getting so full.
